ARTAS® Hair Transplant Procedure Charlotte

Dr. Bruce Marko announced today that he will now offer the ARTAS® Hair Transplant Procedure Charlotte. This minimally invasive hair restoration solution leverages digital imaging and precision robotics for harvesting individual follicular units directly from the scalp. The ARTAS System enables hair restoration physicians to target and harvest healthy follicular units with micron level accuracy without leaving a linear scar.

“Offering the ARTAS® Hair Transplant Procedure Charlotte will be essential for my practice and for my patients who seek a permanent solution to hair loss without the scarring and downtime that comes with alternatives in the market. I’m extremely pleased with the results and excited to offer a robotic solution to hair restoration,” commented Dr. Marko.”

Hair restoration is performed as an office-based, out-patient procedures usually ranging from 4-8 hours depending on the amount of hair being transplanted. Implanted hairs develop their own blood supply, begin to grow and new hairs are seen a few months after the procedure. New hair continues to grow, making the change in the patient’s appearance gradually noticeable within six months.

“We are very pleased we can offer doctors and their patients the ARTAS® Hair Transplant Procedure Charlotte.  It is the most advanced hair transplant solution that is safe, minimally invasive and extremely effective,” said Jim McCollum, Chief Executive Officer, Restoration Robotics.
Hair Loss By The Numbers

Over 35 million men are affected by male pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) in the United States alone. Approximately two-thirds of American men will experience appreciable hair loss by age 35; by age 50, 85% will see significant loss in hair thickness. Genetic hair loss, which typically begins between late adolescence and before or during middle age, is largely untreatable outside of surgery.

Take Hair Regrowth to the Max with Max Density Hair Restoration

Hair loss and hair thinning are problems that plague millions of Americans. While male pattern baldness accounts for more than 95 percent of hair loss cases in men, women also suffer from hair issues. In fact, female androgenetic alopecia affects 50 percent of women at some point in their lives.

Fortunately, modern medical technology means new options for treating balding and other issues in both sexes. A board-certified hair restoration surgeon, Dr. Bruce Marko boasts almost 20 years of experience in the transplant field. His advanced hair transplants are performed using his trademarked MAX DENSITY® Hair Restoration Procedure. Along with producing a more natural result, the treatment takes less time and results in less post-operative pain and swelling, so patients can get back to their routines sooner.

Here are some of the many advantages associated with using Max Density Hair Restoration over other forms of treatment:

  • Lower prices
  • Faster healing
  • Less-noticeable scars
  • Less anesthesia
  • More hairs transplanted at once

How the Procedure Works

The Max Density procedure is used to reverse hair loss and treat thinning hair. Dr. Marko starts by measuring the donor area of the scalp (usually located in the back or on the sides of the head) and then removing a strip of tissue. This material is called the hair graft. After preparing the graft, Dr. Marko and his team will prepare the graft site and transplant the new hairs. Because he uses “naturally occurring bundles,” there is minimal damage to the follicles. Additionally, he utilizes multi-follicular unit grafts for improved hair density and appearance. Because the scalp is numbed before treatment, Max Density patients experience little to no pain.

With Max Density Hair Restoration, patients can choose from five different levels of restoration known as BRONZE, SILVER, GOLD, PLATINUM and PLATINUM PLUS, with the platinum plans offering the highest number of hairs transplanted. The procedure is generally less expensive than other treatments, as patients are not charge by the hair or by the graft. Instead, Dr. Marko strives to transplant the maximum number of hairs possible in each treatment.

After Treatment

Recovery from Max Density is generally painless, though patients are advised to take a few days off from work to relax. Dr. Marko can provide specific details during a free consultation.

Patients interested in Dr. Marko’s Max Density Hair Restoration procedure shouldn’t hesitate to contact his offices for details.

Low-Level Laser Hair Therapy

Laser Hair Therapy Cures Hair Loss?

Typically, we think of lasers as a way to get rid of unwanted hair. High-intensity light damages the follicles, ceasing hair production. But, as it turns out, lasers can also have the opposite effect. Studies have shown that low-level laser hair therapy can actually stimulate follicles and accelerate hair growth. So how exactly can lasers be used to regrow hair and is it a viable cure for baldness?

How Low-Level Laser Hair Therapy Works

Although it seems like your hair is constantly growing, the hair growth cycle actually consists of three distinct phases: growth, resting, and shedding. Most hair loss occurs after the shedding phase when follicles fail to reproduce hairs. Due to possible catalysts, such as dihydrotestosterone (a testosterone derivative known as DHT) or alopecia, follicles will sometimes enter the resting phase and shut down entirely, resulting in widespread thinning and baldness.

Fortunately, low-level laser hair therapy can work to correct this problem. The photons within the laser infuse the follicles with energy, reanimating them from their dormant state. Once the follicles are working properly again, they go back to producing new hairs, effectively reversing the hair loss.

Low-level laser hair therapy can be an effective way to treat a number of different types of hair loss. So far, there is evidence to suggest that the procedure can work for androgenic alopecia, a common type of hair loss that affects more than 70% of men and 40% of women. Additionally, low-level laser hair therapy is also effective against alopecia areata, an autoimmune disorder that results in the immune system mistakenly attacking hair follicles.

How Does Low-Level Laser Hair Therapy Stack Up to the Competition?

Currently, two of the most popular treatments for hair loss are over-the-counter staples Rogaine and Propecia. While these options have been proven to be effective for some patients, they do have their drawbacks. These medications only result in a limited amount of regrowth. Also, they need to be taken habitually in order to be effective. In the case of Rogaine, the positive effects can sometimes stop entirely without warning. Alternatively, hair transplantation tends to be a more successful form of restoration, but it can be time-consuming and expensive.

If you’re looking for a different way to regrow your hair, consider giving low-level laser hair therapy a try. Feel free to contact Advanced Hair Transplants via phone at (888) 923-7497 or via email at lee@advancedhairtransplants.com.

Doctor Bruce Marko Advanced Hair Transplants

Advanced Hair Transplants – Who We Are

For most of us, losing our hair is a natural part of growing older. In fact, according to recent figures, roughly a quarter of men start to experience hair loss by the age of 30. That number jumps to more than 60% by the time men reach their 60’s and 70’s. Unfortunately, women don’t fare much better when it comes to losing their hair. Nearly 60% of women see a noticeable amount of hair thinning or loss at some point in their lives. Thankfully, hair loss isn’t a burden you have to live with. Due to modern restoration techniques, hair loss can be effectively corrected. Just ask one of the country’s top providers of hair loss solutions, Advanced Hair Transplants.

Advanced Hair Transplants Services

The team of experts at Advanced Hair Transplants has more than 20 years of experience with providing hair loss solutions for both men and women. At their facilities, Advanced Hair Transplants offers a wide range of services, including follicular unit transplant (FUT) and follicular unit extraction (FUE), but that’s only the beginning. They also offer facial hair restoration packages, allowing you to replace hair that you may have lost from your beard, goatee, sideburn, or eyebrow areas. Additionally, if you’re interested in a less-invasive hair restoration procedure, Advanced Hair Transplants also offers low-level laser therapy, which can reactivate hair cells and promote the growth of new hairs.

Advanced Hair Transplants’ greatest claim to fame, however, is its trademarked MAX DENSITY® procedure. A propriety method for hair transplantation, MAX DENSITY® offers a number of benefits. For starters, more hairs are transplanted with MAX DENSITY®, allowing for greater overall thickness. Moreover, the procedure takes less time and requires less anesthesia when compared to other transplantation procedures. Perhaps best of all, the MAX DENSITY® procedure is more cost-effective and patients have a shorter recovery time than with traditional types of hair transplantation.

The Man Behind It All

The MAX DENSITY procedure was developed by Dr. Bruce Marko, who serves as the medical director for Advanced Hair Transplants. Dr. Marko is a board-certified hair restoration surgeon who has personally performed thousands of transplant procedures in his career. Las Vegas FUE Hair Transplant

The American Hair Loss Association states that more than two-thirds of men will experience some degree of hair loss by age 35. Depending on the amount of lost hair, it can cause emotional issues and low self esteem for many men.

Men are not the only ones suffering from thinning hair. There are approximately 30 million women experiencing this crippling disease. Dr. Christopher Khorsandi, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon offers the minimally invasive FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) procedure that looks totally natural. The technology used for this Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method is a state-of-the-art S.A.F.E. Scribe Automated Hair Transplant System.

SURGICAL TECHNIQUE
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) using the S.A.F.E. Scribe technology, is a less invasive approach if you are looking for a Las Vegas hair transplant with no linear scar.  The FUE method removes individual hair follicles from the scalp with the S.A.F.E. Scribe machine operated punch. This mechanical unit used in conjunction with our experience technicians can remove up to twenty five hundred grafts (follicular units) in a one day Las Vegas hair transplant procedure.

The S.A.F.E. Scribe removes groupings of 1-4 hairs which are strategically and artistically transplanted in areas of the scalp where thinning or balding has occurred. The benefit of a Las Vegas FUE hair transplant is that a patient does not have to worry about a linear scar (line) across the  back of the head. This procedure is often chosen by men who wear their hair very tight or short in the back of their head.  It is a favorite among military personnel and the younger generation who prefer a shaved head or fade style haircut.

BEST CANDIDATES

Las Vegas FUE hair transplant patients are those who prefer a less invasive surgical approach. FUE is suitable for both men and women. Men who want hair short and enjoy an active lifestyle would benefit from this approach. FUE is used to restore hair in old linear scars, and is popular for small procedures like eyebrow restoration.

DURING/AFTER SURGERY
FUE is an out patient procedure performed under local anesthesia. The S.A.F.E. Scribe punches out small 1,2,3 and 4 hair grafts. (No scalpel, sutures or staples are used). Dr. Khorsandi artistically creates the recipient sites for a Las Vegas FUE hair transplant masterpiece. His surgical team then implants the individual hairs. Depending on the amount of hair being transplanted, the procedure can take as long as 3-10 hours.

Most patients return to work in 5-7 days. Strenuous activity and exercise including weightlifting, CrossFit, running, should be avoided for about 1-2 weeks to insure the area of implantation is safely healed. Results vary by patient, but most patients will see new hair growth starting at 3-4 months post-op and the new hair will continue filling in the balding area up to a year before the process is complete.

EXPECTED COST
The cost of a Las Vegas FUE hair transplant is based on the amount of grafts needed to restore the thinning or bald areas. The cost can range in price from $3000-$15,000.

FUE OR FUT (STRIP)?
The primary difference between FUE and FUT is the technique used for extracting the grafts. One method is with a punch and the other is with a scalpel to remove the strip. Both methods will give patients more hair in thinning areas.

Charlotte FUE Hair Transplants

If you are searching for Charlotte FUE hair transplants, look no further than Advanced Hair Transplants.  Dr. Bruce Marko, is a ‘Board Certified Hair Restoration Surgeon” with more than 16 years experience performing all hair transplant procedures including FUE, FUT, and Facial Hair Restoration for beards, goatees, sideburns and eyebrows.  Dr. Marko consults with every patient and decides which procedure is the best for that person.

Charlotte FUE hair transplants are good for some patients, but they are not for everyone.  There is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to hair transplants. It is in the best interest of every patient to know the pros and cons of each procedure.  While FUE is a good option for patients who always wear very short hair, it’s not necessarily the best option for someone with longer hair.

FUE donor immediately after surgery and 1 week after surgery.

FUE is a minimally invasive procedure. Local anesthesia is used to numb both the donor area and the area where the grafts will be transplanted. Unlike the FUT hair transplant procedure, a ‘strip’ of hair is not removed from the donor area. Follicles are removed from the donor area using a 1mm punch (or smaller) and forceps. The individual grafts are placed on ice to insure their survival. Recipient sites are then artistically created by Dr. Marko at specific angles and direction so the hair will grow in a perfect pattern, and the final result will look totally natural.

At Advanced Hair Transplants, Dr. Marko and his certified surgical team perform Charlotte FUE hair transplants for the scalp, eyebrows, and beards.  They also perform FUE transplant surgery on patients who want to camouflauge scars from ‘strip’ surgeries.

FUE hair transplant procedures are very time consuming and typically take many hours longer than FUT (strip) surgeries. FUE hair transplants are also more expensive than FUT procedures.

For more information on Charlotte FUE hair transplants, please call (704) 295-9099 or (888) 923-7497.

Hair Transplant Cost

How much does a hair transplant cost?

GRAFTS - 1,2,3,4

Most doctors will charge you by the graft.  Charging by the graft has been the ‘Gold Standard’ for hair restoration surgery. The problem with charging by the graft is that it can be deceptive because most people don’t know how many hairs are in a graft.  If a doctor says he will transplant 1000 grafts, what does that mean?  Are you getting a thousand 1 hair grafts, a thousand 2 hair grafts or a thousand 3 hair grafts or a thousand multi-follicular unit grafts that will have 6-8 hairs per graft?

If a doctor is honest and ‘doing the right thing’ for the patient, he will transplant the grafts as they grow in their natural state.  In other words, if a graft is 3 hairs, that graft is not cut into three 1 hair grafts and you are not charged three times the amount. If the hair transplant cost is $5 per graft, then a 1 hair graft, 2 hair graft, or 3 hair graft is $5.  Make sense?

At Advanced Hair Transplants, our surgeons give you the maximum amount of hair in one procedure based on your donor density and scalp flexibility. We do not dissect larger grafts into smaller ones and charge you more money like some of the unscrupulous doctors on our industry. Our hair transplant cost is the same as our competitors, however, we give you more hair in one procedure!

AHT2-5

We offer the trademarked MAX DENSITY® procedure which gives you more density in one surgery when compared to the typical pay-by-the graft procedure. Our surgeon meticulously measures the donor hair that will be removed. Based on average hair density, a person will have 200 hairs per 1 sq. cm. of hair.  If the doctor removes 30 sq. cm. of hair, it will yield approximately 6000 hairs.  With this procedure, the hair transplant cost is based on the amount of hair moved. A MAX DENSITY® procedure gives you a fair hair transplant cost and a better final result!
